TORI SAVAGE:

Tori is a young director emerging in the Australian Film Industry. She is best known for writing and directing the short film ‘House Guests’ which screened at CinefestOZ Film Festival, St Kilda Film Festival, Sydney Underground Film Festival, Sydney Lift-Off Film Festival where it won best short narrative, the AACTA-accredited For Film’s Sake Film Festival, BAFTA-accredited Encounters Film Festival, Nightmares Film Festival, Freshflix Film Festival and won a silver in direction and bronze in sound design at the Independent Short Awards.

Her passion for the industry has seen her visit The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity on several occasions, where she participated in both The Roger Hatchuel Academy and the Young Lions Creative Academy. 

After graduating in 2015 with a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication at UTS, Tori has worked for the last seven years as a Director’s Assistant for some of Australia’s most renowned commercial directors including David Denneen and Paul Middleditch. Tori is currently available for Freelance DA work and is determined to continue her career as a Director by creating compelling, visually breath-taking narratives. 

Tori has directed online commercials for clients such as UNICEF and Yoobi, both having a social conscience behind their branding, something she feels is vital to the future of advertising. The ‘A Minute of Your Time’ campaign for UNICEF has gone on to win several AWARD awards, A Webby and a D&AD Pencil.

Most recently Tori graduated from Award School 2020 with a piece of work on the wall and was part of the first cohort to participate and graduate in a completely virtual capacity.
